Raw cacao, cashew and blueberry smoothie

When our designer isn’t making great labels for our goodies, she is often found at the business end of a blender, spoon or chopstick creating delicious recipes and taking amazing photos. Here is her latest creation.

 

Raw cacao nibs give this smoothie the uplifting effects and subtle floral notes of raw cacao but without the full 'chocolate' taste. The nibs are soaked overnight to mellow their flavour and remove the gritty texture dry nibs may add to a recipe.

 

Blend till very smooth:
2/3 cup cashews,

4 dates (deglet noir, if you use medjool just use 1-2 and don't soak )

1 tbsp raw cacao nibs soaked overnight

1 cup water
1 cup frozen blueberries
Pinch or drop of your favourite vanilla powder/essence
1 tsp maple syrup (optional)
